Creating a new client
This article will help you understand how to add new client profiles to your organisation. You'll also learn how to set a team member as the 'primary therapist' for a client.
Adding a new client
Note: to add a new client your role type must be set to either an 'Owner' or 'Admin' role
To add a client profile open the Goalspot web application on your laptop or desktop (you can't add new clients from the mobile/tablet app).
From the Clients tab click on the blue 'New Client' in the top right corner.
Fill out the client details. Fields which are required are marked 'required'. All other fields are optional.
Managing which team members have access to a client
When setting up a new client you'll need to add one team member as the 'Primary Therapist' for the client. Typically, this is the therapist that is primarily responsible for setting the client's goals and who will be working the most with that client.
You can also add any other team members that you want to be able to access that client by clicking on the box as shown below:
Note: users with the role type 'Owner' or 'Admin' automatically have access to all client profiles, so there is no need to add them individually.
Adding a memorable client image
Many therapists find it helpful to have a unique image associated with every client.
You can choose to add a playful image from 30+ available options - just click on the blue 'Edit' button below Client Profile.
Saving the profile
Once you have added all of the details you need, and given access to the right members of your team, you can save the new profile by clicking on the blue 'Save' button in the top right corner, as shown below:
Tip: Adding key client details to access on-the-go
In the mobile or tablet app you can access a client's details on-the-go. It can be particularly helpful to save contact phone numbers, email addresses and physical addresses, as the mobile/tablet app allows you to copy these details with the tap of a button (e.g., to use in Google Maps, or to quickly call a client's parent to let them know you've arrived).
