Quickstart guide - account owners

This help article provides a step-by-step guide to getting your clinic set up on Goalspot.

We've also pre-loaded a demo client 'Harry Jones' that you can use to explore all of Goalspot's features like, data collection and reporting, while you are getting set up.


Step 1: Invite your team

If you have more than one therapist in your team you'll most likely want to start by adding other team members.

This help article shows you how to add other users to your team.

And this article covers the different role types available - 'Owner', 'Admin' and 'Therapist' - so you can make sure you are adding ever member of the team in the right role (don't worry, you can always adjust these later).


Step 2: Add your first client

Adding clients is easy!

This article shows you how to quickly add a client on the web application.


Step 3: Set up your Goal Library


Option 1: I already have an existing Goal Library I'd like to upload

If you already have an existing Goal Library / Goal Bank then you can use our Onboarding Concierge service to upload this to your Goalspot account (we are currently offering this service for free).

Option 2: I don't currently have an existing Goal Library but I'd like to start building one

No problem - Goalspot makes it easy to quickly build up your own Goal Library over time!

The easiest and fastest way to do this is to simply start adding goals for clients, and saving goals that you want to keep as templates in your Goal Library.

Step 4: Customise your organisation's developmental domains

To make sure Goalspot is aligned to the way you like to work you can manage the naming and ordering of developmental domains in the app.

This means goals will always reflect your language - e.g., Social Skills vs Interpersonal Relationships - and will always show up in the order you want when collecting or reviewing data.

Step 5: Add your first goals for a client

Goalspot makes it easy to add goals (especially once you have your Goal Library up and running).

Step 6: Download the Goalspot mobile app

Goalspot has a mobile app to make collecting session data easy, intuitive and "on-the-go". The app works on both Android and Apple devices, across both mobile phones and tablets.

Step 7: Collect your first data on the mobile app

Now you have loaded your first client and added some goals it's time to collect your first data!

Step 8: Explore the reports available on Goalspot

We've built a set of simple, intuitive reports based on the most common needs of clinics.

You can explore the different types of reports available here. Some of the progress reports take a few weeks of data to come to life, so in the meantime while you're collecting data for your clinic's real clients, feel free to play around with these using the 'Harry Jones' demo client account we've pre-loaded with data.
